Showcase your singing, dancing and on-stage acting abilities at the Monday, March 10th auditions for “King Willy’s Court,” the spring musical staged by the Paint & Powder Club to benefit Maryland charities. Come prepared to sing a Capella, 16 bars of your favorite show tune or song at Plckersgill Retirement Community, also the site of rehearsals. All ethnicities welcome, males and females ages 21 and up. Show dates are May 15, 16 and 17 at Brown Memorial Church In Baltimore. More than 500 people are expected to watch the performances. Director is the multi-talented Bernie Cook, who also wrote this original show, which will be a medley of popular tunes “set In medieval times,” plus running dialogue. Spots are open for soloists as well as general chorus members and dancers. The show is a way to introduce yourself to members of the Paint & Powder Club, believed to be the longest-running private, charitable thespian social group In the country (and be considered for membership!!) No pay; show proceeds go to charity.
